Okuyorum: An Educational App for First Graders
Okuyorum is an app designed to facilitate reading and writing activities for first-grade students. This app now includes math and Turkish language topics for first graders as well as handwriting exercises.
With Okuyorum, first-grade students can learn to read and write in a short period of time. The app offers activities for 29 different sounds, including sound recognition and association with objects, animals, and situations. It also provides activities for writing uppercase letters, writing lowercase letters, creating and reading syllables and words, reading sentences, and practicing fast reading through the "Car Game" and "Apple Collecting Game." Additionally, there are dictation exercises and text reading activities to enhance reading skills.
The app provides various interactive activities to support learning such as sound recognition, writing practice, syllable and word formation, syllable tables for memorization, sentence reading, finding missing syllables, arranging syllables and words, and a racing game for competitive learning.
Okuyorum also offers math activities for first graders, including rhythmic counting, addition, and basic operations, as well as Turkish language topics like reading comprehension, constructing grammatically correct sentences, sequencing events, learning antonyms, and grammar.
Furthermore, the app includes a section for handwriting exercises, which serves as preparation and support for writing skills.
